Some Blood Basics – The Fountain Of Health

Blood is called the fluid of life. It is right to say that it is the fountain of health.

Blood functions

Ideally circulation system function flawlessly performing its functions with no confusion, mistake or misunderstanding. In order to do its work properly blood has a complex mechanism of maintaining constancy of the internal environment. The most essential functions of Blood:

  • Transporting nutrients to feed every cell
  • Transporting hormones the chemical messengers between parts of the body
  • Delivering Oxygen from lungs and returning carbon dioxide from the cells back to the lungs
  • Excretion of waste products from the tissues and cells through lungs, kidneys, intestine, skin etc.
  • Regulating body temperature
  • Regulating pH within 7.35 to 7.45 because many organs cannot tolerate big changes in pH
  • Defending the body from infections, destroying bacteria and removing toxic substances
  • Regulating blood pressure
  • Blood clotting

Clotting is crucial for healing

To do the job properly the blood’s equilibrium has to be maintained between dissolving of blood clots and clotting. If fibrinolysis a process that prevents blood clots from growing and causing a problem is weakened circulating fragments of clots can block the blood vessel which, in fact, can be life threatening. On the other hand, if the blood were too liquid even the smallest injuries will bleed us to death. This is a quite rare inherited condition of excessive bleeding which is called hemophilia. Unfortunately, when the production of fibrin is too active, most deadly complications can occur. Also, when we get older the blood flows sluggishly, the vessels become narrower and more and more depositions of fibrin and lipids cover the lining of blood vessel. We know this pathological condition as atherosclerosis.

Clotting mechanism

If we happen to have an injury the complicated process called coagulation is triggered that prevent us  further blood loss from damaged tissues, blood vessels and organs. This process involves blood cells called platelets, proteins called clotting factors, fibrin and enzyme called thrombin to form a plug over damaged vessel. Clotting factors make platelets to bind together into a plug which gets caught in the fibrin net. Thrombin catalyzes the reaction, and also turns fibrinogen into the fibrin that helps close the wound.

If , however, the control system is not working properly excess scar tissue restricts blood flow, disorders such as tumours, plaguing, narrowing of the arteries occur thus resulting in such disorders as arteriosclerosis, hypertension, heart disease, varicose veins, angina, arrhythmia and other most common diseases. Overproduction of fibrin may be related to arthritis, multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer’s disease.

How to purify blood and stop the overproduction of fibrin without medication

Fibrinolytic enzyme therapy has been successfully used to treat chronic arterial circulatory disorders and venous thrombosis

In controlled group of patients certain enzyme mixtures have increased the rate of dissolution of micro thrombi consequently improving the supply of nutrients and oxygen and reducing inflammation of blood vessel. This can be achieved without the long-term side effects or costly drug therapy.

Grim reality and prognosis

World Health Organization (WHO) report  that cardiovascular disease (CVDs) are the leading causes of death and disability in the world. An estimated 17.3 million people died from cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) like heart disease and stroke in 2008, representing 30% of all global deaths. By 2030 more than 23 million people will die annually from CVDs.

Healthy Lifestyle programme

Enzyme prophylaxis as a successful preventative treatment for those at risk and even those who don’t have any health problems. The best we could do for ourselves is to follow the Healthy Lifestyle programme:

1.Balanced diet

2.Detoxify

3.Regular physical activity

4.Use daily enzyme, vitamin and mineral supplements

5.Get rid of bad habits, such as smoking

6.Positive attitude, stress management
