At the TMS Center of New York, we are committed to providing the best possible care for patients suffering from Major Depression and other neuropsychiatric disorders. As a part of this goal, we look forward to collaborating with you, and our patients’ main health care providers, to determine the best treatment options for those patients who have not responded to other conventional treatment regimens.
We will discuss your patients with you but we will not perform extensive therapy with your patients nor will we adjust their medications. If you refer patients to us, you will participate in their treatment throughout the process. During and after treatment they will continue seeing you for therapy and remain your patient, and you will receive detailed case notes as to the treatment that has transpired throughout therapy. We will continue to consult with you on their progress and care during the TMS treatment. In fact, studies have shown that patients receiving TMS are more responsive to other treatment modalities during and after their TMS treatment, so it is even more important that you continue to do therapy during this time. You and your patient are always welcome to follow up with our staff.
We welcome your inquiries about TMS Therapy and how it may help some of your patients. We would also like to extend an open invitation to visit our office, see the TMS Therapy System and learn more about the treatment process.
Neuronetics has developed the NeuroStar TMS Therapy system, the first and only non-systemic and non-invasive depression treatment cleared by the FDA for patients who have not benefited from prior antidepressant treatment. NeuroStar has a reliable safety record, with over 10,000 active treatments safely performed across all NeuroStar clinical trials. NeuroStar TMS therapy significantly improved patient scores on the Montgomery Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD-24).
Through 23 premier research institutions internationally, Neuronetics completed the largest clinical trial ever conducted evaluating efficacy and safety of TMS Therapy in the treatment of major depression.
