How To Navigate The World Championships

September 19 is a training day for riders participating in the Men’s or Women’s Team Time Trial, the Men’s U23 Individual Time Trial, the Men’s or Women’s Junior Individual Time Trial, or the Women’s Elite Individual Time Trial. Training on the Team Time Trial Course will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Training on the Individual Time Trial Circuit will take place from 1:00 to 2:30 PM. Daily street closures for each course will be in effect one hour before training begins to one hour after training concludes. Daily street closures common to both
courses will close prior to the early training period for the Team Time Trial Course, and will not reopen until after the later training period for the Individual Time Trial Circuit. During this time, the streets included in the course will be closed to through traffic and on-street parking. In addition, vehicles may cross the course only at designated vehicular crossing points. Cross streets that do not intersect the course at a designated vehicular crossing point will be closed to through traffic one block from the course. On-street parking will generally be allowed on such cross streets, and parts of these streets will remain locally accessible via alleys and driveways.
Included in this guide is a detailed overview of streets that will be impacted by the September 19 training sessions, including street closures along the course, highway ramp closures, parking restrictions, and vehicular crossing points. In addition, there are four areas entirely bounded by streets closed for the training sessions (see the inset maps showing all vehicular crossing points for these Accessibility Areas). Please consult the Navigate the Worlds Roads Guide: Overview and Parking Guide for additional information about long-term street closures and parking restrictions that will be in effect throughout the event, and for information about recommended routes and parking options.
* Roads closed for both the Team Time Trial Course and Individual Time Trial Circuit will not reopen between training sessions.
